Vitaly Nesis, Chief Executive Officer of Solidcore Resources (the “Company”) met with Gauez Nurmukhambetov, Governor of the North Kazakhstan region, to discuss the Syrymbet tin deposit development project.
Solidcore Resources is in the process of developing the Syrymbet tin deposit via its subsidiary Tin One Mining. The field is in the Ayyrtau district of the North Kazakhstan region and is the largest in Central Asia. Its reserves make over 70% of the total tin reserves in Kazakhstan.
“Considering the global shortage of tin and the growth of its value on the world market, the initiation of production in Kazakhstan will strengthen the country’s position as an exporter of non-ferrous metals and enable it to integrate into global supply chains of strategic raw materials,” stated Vitaly Nesis, CEO of Solidcore Resources.
The company intends to create about 800 additional positions. As Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov noted that today the development of Syrymbet is the largest investment project in the region, and its implementation will greatly enhance the region’s economic growth.
The head of the region also noted the Company’s cooperation with the education sector. Earlier, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tin One Mining and the Agrotechnical college of Ayyrtau district, marking an important advancement in the preparation of skilled workers for the industry.
Production is expected to start in 2028.
